Fox News Coverage of Citizens for Progress

So the local Fox News ran a story about the Citizens for Progress group which was remarkably favorable to the group. Another member and I were interviewed about the group and so I was on television last night and this morning. I was slightly inarticulate, and they got our name wrong, but they got our website right. Anyway, one of my coworkers came in saying "I saw you on the news this morning." Cool, I guess.

I finished my article for the newsletter that Vinny is putting together for NUJLS. I sent it in yesterday. Maybe I will post it here after it goes out.

The Mayoral Debate

I'll try to keep this post as apolitical as possible, because the point of my blog isn't politics. Also, I think most of my readers know where I stand politically. So, in South Bend, a mayoral election will take place in November. The candidates debated last night at IUSB. While the debate had its problems, I was impressed with the positive views of the city expressed by two of the three candidates debating.

Welcome to my World

Call me Kythe or Kythester. I'm a twenty-something, finishing up college (hopefully in March), resident of South Bend, Indiana. I am an activist, but I'll try not to spend too many words on certain issues. (I do have other blogs for that purpose, so if you're interested, comment, or e-mail, whatever.) I happen to be queer (other related terms are inadequate) and Jewish, and of course, Jewish and queer. I only write about these aspects of my identity because I believe they color my views of the world entire, and my immediate surroundings in particular. I have a job at a preschool, which I thoroughly enjoy. I'm not sure what else is relevant to my future posts yet, but I guess I'll explain more later.
